It’s nice to attend festivals. They are great venues to meet new people, enjoy some music, and take a break from a monotonous (and maybe stressful) life.
But if you’re an amateur festival-goer, you must be overwhelmed by the whole idea of going to this fun-filled event that you might miss on some important things. Below is a checklist to make sure you are all set for the festival:
• Know the directions of the festival venue
Before leaving for the festival, make sure you know exactly where it is located. Tell your family and friends where you’re heading. Most outdoor festivals are hosted a bit away from the city center. Some are even placed in remote locations with little to no cellphone reception.
• Check the weather
See the weather forecast – Will it be a sunny or a rainy festival day? When you anticipate the weather, you can then decide which outfits to pack and things to bring.
• Stay sober on your trip
A pre-game with friends might be tempting, especially when you want to be “in the mood” for some wild times as you come to the venue. But please stay sober on your entire trip duration. Whether you’re going to or from the venue, make sure you’re level-headed. Traffic cops are usually twice more cautious when there are festivals nearby.
• Avoid carrying expensive things with you
Thefts are likely to loom around the corner. People within big crowds are easy targets, especially in parties and festivals where people tend to be looser and unguarded. Leave any valuable trinkets at home, such as expensive earrings or small luxurious items that are easier to steal and snatch. Secure your phones and wallet. Get a bag locker in the area if there is any.
• Prepare your camping gears
If you’re attending the Springtime Festival in Germany, then you must also prepare your camping essentials. Know what the festival is requiring each attendee to bring. In the case of the Springtime Festival in Germany, you will be asked to bring your own pillow, blanket, and torch. Of course, you also need to pack your comfortable sleeping wear and toiletries. If you know about other camping essentials, let us know in the comments.
May your first festival experience be as wonderful and memorable. Have tons of fun and as always, stay safe!
